Divjake-Karavasta is a municipality in the central-western part of Albania. It is located in the County of Fier, near the Adriatic coast. The municipality was formed in 2015 by merging the former municipalities of Divjake and Karavasta. Divjake-Karavasta is home to the Karavasta Lagoon, which is the largest lagoon in Albania and is known for its diverse birdlife. The area is also a popular destination for tourists, especially during the summer months, due to its beautiful beaches and natural scenery. In addition to tourism, the local economy is also based on agriculture, with many residents engaged in farming and livestock production. The municipality is also home to the Divjake National Park, which covers an area of 2,760 hectares and is known for its rich biodiversity and important wetland ecosystems.
